Heather is a teacher and former NEC member of the NEU . Heather is a trustee for The Teachers Pensions Scheme Pension Board and the NEU Trust.
Heather has growing experience of the NEUPS and is committed to providing the necessary oversight to secure members best interests and employers responsibilities .
Heather aims to be informed and accountable in governance so future investments and management provide a strong future for this scheme .
Heather is also a trustee and counsellor for a local rape crisis organisation -and remain committed to supporting women in achieving real equality in their working and personal lives .
Heather is an Employer Trustee and the Union's elected National Treasurer. Hazel has been a Trustee of the NUTSFF since 2014 and is looking forward to working as Trustee for the NEU scheme. She has been National Treasurer since the NEU was formed and has oversight of the unions finances and serves on the General Purposes Committee.
Dr Robin Bevan started working in classrooms and schools in the 1980's. He served as Headteacher, for 17 years, at Southend High School for Boys (2007-24). He continues to contribute to the sector as an Education Leadership coach, consultant and advocate. He has been an ATL workplace representative and was active in the Essex Branch for nearly twenty years. He has 15+ years of National Executive experience with ATL, then NEU. He served as the NEU National President in 2020/21. He is an experienced pension trustee, working to amalgamate historic schemes within ATL during the last decade; appointed as a Trustee of the ATLPS from its inception; and contributing to the development of the NEUPS (following the ATL/NUT Union amalgamation).
