Amy is a member-nominated trustee and, as the NEU's Assistant General Secretary for Communications, Campaigns and Political Engagement, is an active member of the NEU pension scheme. Based in the Northern Region, Amy has worked for NEU and NUT for more than 10 years, previously as a National Campaign Manager, Organiser and Regional Officer. Outside work, Amy sits as a magistrate in the adult criminal court and is mum to Ross, born in July 2021.

Suzanne’s union career originated as a pay, conditions and pensions officer at ATL, chiefly working on the Teachers’ Penson Scheme, having previously been English teacher and, before that, a pensions administrator.  She is now an education policy specialist at the NEU.

She has been a school governor in two schools and a chair of governors for a primary school. Suzanne is looking forward to taking up her role and the new challenge of being a trustee of the NEUPS.

Michael is an Employee (member nominated) Trustee and is Secretary of the NEU Unite Branch.  Michael has been a Regional Officer since 2008 (for ATL, NAHT, NUT and NEU) and was a UNISON Branch Secretary for 11 years. 

Michael’s priorities are ethical investment, including supporting the BDS campaign in solidarity with the people of Palestine, and making the pension scheme as accountable as possible to scheme members.
